Theme of the book:

To widen and enrich the vocabulary and to acquire the foundations of the language.

Purpose of the book:

To continue to widen and deepen the vocabulary and to progress the teaching of grammar rules for the children with the objective for them to write correctly sentences and paragraphs.

Caracteristics:

This book continues to develop the vocabulary learned in the previous books, focusing on different subjects of the language and its grammar which lets the child construct proper sentences using the vocabulary in a correct form.

Content:

This book continues to develop and expand the vocabulary together with their grammar rules, necessary for writing sentences and paragraphs on an advanced level.

  • Vocabulary: the book offers activities to go over the learned vocabulary of previous years, like essays and sentences with lists of vocabulary. For that reason the child continues to acquire systematically a wide vocabulary over various topics like as a base to continue to learn the language.
  • Comprehension of text: in the book 3 and 4, the majority is dedicated to the areas of language and grammar. For a deeper development for comprehension skills it is recommended to use an additional book called “Navin Behanaa” or “Hachavaya Shebakria“ (for girls) to develop the understanding of texts in a pleasant way, from individual words till, paragraphs and the following of instructions.

By learning the book, references are being made to the semaforo method learned in the previous volume.

  • Language structure (grammar): the book is mainly dedicated to different grammar subjects which are fundamental for the language: masculine – feminine, singular – plural, adjectives, conjugations and more (on a higher level than shown in the previous books). With the help of the exercises the child continues to acquire the Hebrew grammar rules complete and extensive, to help him construct proper sentences with using the already learned vocabulary and like this to better understand the Pesukim of the Tora. The exercises develop gradually with each one basing itself on the previous subject and like this increase the learning.

When the textbook is finished it is expected that the child widened and augmented his vocabulary and that he advances in the understanding of the language structure and the grammar rules.
