To continue to develop in the child the 3 important areas with which to acquire the language: constructing vocabulary, developing comprehension skills and how the Hebrew language is structured (grammar rules).

Caracteristics:

This book continues to develop the vocabulary, the comprehension skills, and the structure of the language through themes which are close to the child which let him understand them on his own.

It offers a systematic acquisition of an even more ample vocabulary, a base to learn the language even better. Besides it teaches the method of the traffic light method to learn comprehension skills in an unique and structured fashion which develops in the child independent reading skills.

When finishing the book, the child will have acquirered important reading skills and advanced grammar rules.

Content:

This book continues to develop the three major area of learning: vocabulary, comprehension skills language structure. Also, in this series the style of the stories and exercises have the intention to give the child the feeling that the learning of the language is close to him and that he can understand it easily on his own.

  • Vocabulary: every story in the book turns out a list of basic vocabulary on a particular subject. In this volume the vocabulary is a repetition of the series before, more extensive, and the stories are of a higher level. For that reason, the child continues systematically to acquire a wide vocabulary of different subjects to make a base for an even better learning experience of the language. Along the book the vocabulary of previous lists is also being reused for better assimilation of what is being taught. Besides at the end of each unit there are exercises presented to develop better conversation skills and constructing sentences.
  • Comprehension of literature: After each story there are easy questions and activities to deepen the understanding of the language and the subjects which are included: to draw conclusions. to classify and include, to complete instructions and more. To the extent that he advances in the year the level of work increases gradually and gets the child to a higher level of comprehension.

Besides at the beginning of the book the method semapharo is being taught a reading method unique and structured which helps the children to reach an independent reading. This method is useful for beginners and for a higher level like for the teaching of Mishna and Gemara. It is advisable to teach this method at the beginning of using the book so that the children can use it throughout the book.

  • Structure of language (grammar): like a separate unit after each story, appear exercises and activities of various grammar subjects which are fundamental for the language: masculine – feminine, singular and plural, conjugations, Otiot Hashimush (מ ש ה ו כ ל ב), conjunctions and more (on a higher level than what has been taught in the previous series). With the help of the exercises, the child reaches a deep and structured understanding of the Hebrew grammar rules to help him construct proper sentences and to use the learned vocabulary even better for the Psukim of the Tora. The exercises gradually develop in a way that each assignment is based on the previous one and increases the level of learning. By completing the book the child has a vocabulary, important reading skills and advanced grammar rules.
