Writing
The book “Bemaalot Haktiva” starts the learning of the handwritten letters in a very easy, clear and gradual way, using memory supports to write the shape of the letters. Before it offers the practice of going from printed letters to cursive handwriting, it distinguishes between the letters ג׳ and ז׳ and the use of the sofiot.
It goes without saying that, the Bemaalot method doesn’t only satisfy the technical aspects of writing the letters, given that errors in orthography need to be avoided, it gives the children adequate rules to stay in the lines of their notebooks, a strategy used only for copying and to write correctly and to acquire how to write by listening without making errors.
The method emphasizes bringing to consciousness the confusion between letters (like ח ת ט כ etc.), and they receive practical tools to maintain a correct orthography.
The books which deal with this subject are called “Bemaalot Haktiva Beth” and the second half of the book “Bemaalot Hakria He”. Another book that develops a correct orthography and prevents errors from its root, is the new book called “Argaz Hakelim Lakotev Hamumche” which presents a consistent and well-established learning method where the child learns the importance of correct orthography and acquires effective tools for a correct and systematic writing.
