Theme of the book:

Part A: tools to practice the linguistic abilities. Part B: Tools to develop oral and written expression on a high level.

Purpose of the book:

1. To sharpen and add grammatical rules which have been learned in the previous books, to help the children to construct adequate sentences. 2. To generally develop the capacity to use the language in an expressive way, to practice the language in a comprehensive way in different situations and in different areas of the language.

Caracteristics:

The first part of the book deals with diverse grammar questions. It resumes the material of the 5 previous books to the highest level, emphasizing the importance of the added and learned rules of the past. The students get familiarized with the unusual words in an easy and pleasant way and train in the practice of the verbs in an advanced way (not only in Binim Kal), as well as conjugating them into plural.

The second part of the book suggests advanced tools for practical expression: to write a letter, to write an announcement rewrite instruction, compose an end, construct a dialogue in different situations and more. The difference in this part is the advanced level and the practice of the contents, which will reflect in the practical use of the Hebrew language daily.

Content:

Part A:

  • GRAMMAR: a general repetition of all the learned grammar rules, aside putting emphasis on exceptions in advanced structures of the language.
  • ORAL EXPRESSION: extensive practice and variety to develop oral expressions in different situations like to buy in a store, to write a letter, design an announcement, explain instructions and more. This section strengthens the capacity for a fluid conversation in the children and offers the best way to implant all possible material of the language shown over the years.

Details of part A- GRAMMAR:

  • Chapter 1: feminine and masculine, included the exceptions (10-30). 
  • Chapter 2: Yechid/YechidaRabim/Rabot (singular and plural) – included the practice with exceptions (p.31-44).
  • Chapter 3: adjectives: included how the adjective has to match the subject (45-57)’
  • Chapter4: Otiot Hashimush (מ ש ה ו כל ב) and the words which link (p.58-64).
  • Chapter 5: root of the verbs (p.65-74.
  • Chapter 6: the verb – included to conjugate them in all times (p. 75-100).
  • Chapter 7: adjectives interrogatives (p.101-107).
  • Chapter 8: conjugation of possessive pronouns and of the substantive in plural (p. 108-121).
  • Chapter 9: punctuation (p. 122-124).
  • At the end of the book there are the answers for the teachers (p. 125-156).
