Content:

This is a complementary book to “Bemaalot Haktiva Alef” acquiring and practicing the letters in cursive.

It contains two main principles:

Part 1: complementary to the book ‘Bemaalot Haktiva Alef”:

  • Repetition of the handwritten letter – to secure the handwritten letter this book starts with repeating exercises and practicing them (p.7-12).
  • Transfer from printed letter to handwriten letter – this chapter exercises the practice to copy the printed letters to handwritten letters (p.13-46).
  • Distinction between letter gimmel and zain – many children have the tendency to confuse between these letters, for that reason it’s important to learn how to distinguish them (p. 47-50).
  • The sofiot (final letters) – here the children learn how to make the distinction between the letters not sofiot and sofiot and to use them correctly (p.51-68).

Part two: how to write correctly:

  • Basic rules how to write correctly – the use of the pencil (p.70)
  • How to write correctly on the line/ – rules how to write correctly on the line with additional exercises to practice the rules (p.71-80).
  • How to write correctly in the notebook? – rules how to use the notebook correctly with additional exercises to practice the rules (p.81-90).
  • How to copy correctly without errors? – techniques to copy properly without spelling errors with additional exercises to practice (p.91-104).
  • At the end of the book pages for photocopy and for use in the auditorium are being suggested: pages for dictation like a self-evaluation to make sure that there is a proper handwriting (its recommended to photocopy a page a month which the children fill in after they copy the homework), (p.105-108).
